They're directed to open the Amazon app and scan every garment they see on the shelves or racks in the store and it will prompt the app to recommend similar items according to their preferences. They're also asked to provide their style, fit and other details through the app to help refine suggestions in the future.

Then, once inside the store, a staff member will accompany the customer to the fitting room and let them start trying on outfits that were suggested by the algorithm. The customer is able to swipe upwards or downwards on a touchscreen to decide if they are satisfied with the style. If they want to try other items the staff will request for them to return to the changing room with more options.
